Parc des Lles is one of Montreal’s largest parks. It is a popular venue for outdoor lovers and athletes. Its got inline skating, a 15 km biking trail and a 3 km hiking trail. The park also offers nautical activities and equipment for the same.
It is also known as Parc Jean Drapue named after the mayor Jean Drapue, who was responsible for the Expo in 1967. The park is set amidst the River St.Laurent, the park spreads over the two islands Saint Helene and Notredame. It spreads over 268 acres over both islands.
The buildings in the park are from the pavilions of Expo 67. The park also has an open air art gallery, where works of art can be admired.
