Parc du Mont Royal is one of Montreal’s largest green spaces with exquisite flora and fauna. It consists of 3 peaks Colline de la Croin, Colline De Outremont and Westmount.
There are guided tours and treks organised for visitors to explore and discover the mountains.
A cross was placed on the mountain in 1643, by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve. In 1924, the Societe Saint Team Baptiste placed a 103-ft high illuminated cross on top of the mountain.
There is the Smith House on the mountain, which has a permanent exhibition on the first floor and a café serving wholesome food and drinks.
